Recently, Saisi time‑synchronization devices have been successfully deployed and operating stably at a power plant in BKK, Thailand, delivering a unified time reference for this critical energy hub. This marks a major breakthrough for Saisi in the overseas power market and serves as a vivid testament to our global strategy bearing fruit across multiple regions!
1. Power‑plant Time Synchronization: Far More Than Simple Time Alignment
To the general public, a power plant is a massive system made up of boilers, steam turbines and power transmission lines. For engineers, however, every second within the plant is woven from countless signals: protection‑relay operation logs, fault recorder sampling, SCADA data acquisition, time‑sequence ordering of relay‑protection events, and more. All these processes hinge on one fundamental prerequisite: a unified, precise and reliable time reference.
Take this BKK‑based Thai power plant as an example. As a key pillar of Thailand’s main power grid, it supplies electricity to surrounding urban agglomerations. Its automation system incorporates hundreds of multi‑vendor heterogeneous devices including DCS systems and protection relays, plus thousands of monitoring points, featuring wide‑ranging equipment generations and diverse communication protocols. Meanwhile, the plant’s time‑sequence system must strictly comply with the master‑clock traceability standards set by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). It ensures standardized plant‑wide SOE (Sequence of Events) logging and enables accurate closed‑loop grid operation‑maintenance and fault tracing.
Accordingly, time‑synchronization devices must not only keep accurate time internally but also maintain seamless external interoperability. They need to accept scheduling calibration commands and distribute trustworthy time across the whole plant, acting as a well‑connected time hub.
2. Bridging Geographic Distance: Saisi Time‑Synchronization Devices Empower the BKK Power Plant in Thailand
Drawing on well‑proven global deployment experience, Saisi supplied mature time‑synchronization devices for this BKK power‑plant project. With robust hardware architecture and customized adaptation solutions, the equipment fully meets the plant’s high‑level timing requirements.
For signal compatibility: By tracking satellites or upstream input sources, the device delivers standard NTP outputs for plant‑wide equipment. Optional time‑interface signals including PPS/PPM/PPH/PPD, TTL, TOD, IRIG‑B and DCF77 are available to flexibly satisfy timing demands of diverse heterogeneous plant equipment, truly realizing “one device covering the entire plant”.
For redundant hold‑over performance: Equipped with high‑stability crystal oscillators / rubidium clocks and empowered by Saisi’s self‑developed FPGA high‑precision timing algorithm, the unit delivers outstanding hold‑over capability. When satellite‑based external time sources are lost due to weather‑caused signal blockage or interference, the device can independently keep outputting high‑precision time signals, achieving hold‑over accuracy ≤1 μs/h over 12 hours. It effectively avoids time‑sequence deviations triggered by temporary satellite‑signal anomalies and guarantees non‑stop, stable plant‑wide 7×24‑hour time references.
Furthermore, the device supports visual English‑language WEB‑based management, enabling remote status monitoring, parameter configuration, fault alarming, log query and traceback. Its intuitive operation perfectly fits overseas local‑operation‑and‑maintenance scenarios and greatly cuts on‑site O&M complexity and labor costs.
Building on the successful delivery and stable operation of this project, Saisi has established in‑depth strategic cooperation with the plant owner and EPC general contractor. A long‑term supply framework agreement has been signed to provide continuous product and technical support for their upcoming new‑build and renovation projects.
3. Deep‑rooted Presence at Home and Abroad: Saisi Continues to Expand Its Global Footprint
Overseas project delivery represents not merely hardware export, but comprehensive export of complete‑solution capabilities, engineering‑adaptation expertise and technical‑service competence.
In recent years, Saisi’s overseas business has flourished across more than 30 countries and regions spanning Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Oceania. Saisi’s products and solutions have been widely adopted in core overseas infrastructure sectors: ranging from Southeast‑Asian green‑power facilities and Myanmar communication networks, to Central‑Asian light‑rails, African railways, Latin‑American metro lines and European intelligent buildings. Our brand influence keeps growing steadily.
