The airport is designed for an annual aircraft movement of 5,200 sorties, an annual passenger throughput of 470,000 passengers, and a cargo and mail throughput of 1,000 tonnes. It is the first regional airport in Xinjiang equipped with jet bridges for a passenger throughput below 500,000.
As a rapid transportation hub connecting northern and southern Xinjiang as well as domestic and international regions, Qitai Airport is not only a passenger hub but also an important node for cargo and logistics. Qitai Airport currently has 2 vertical connecting taxiways, 7 Category C parking stands, and a terminal building covering 5,035.91 square meters. Its complex operation system highly depends on accurate and reliable time. SaiTime high-precision clock system fully empowers Qitai Airport to set sail and take off.
This time, the clock system installed by SaiTime in the information system terminal room of Qitai Airport receives GPS/Beidou satellite signals, providing a unified standard time reference signal synchronized with UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) for the airport’s entire information system, with time accuracy reaching the millisecond level.
Meanwhile, the product adopts a unique FPGA-based time-keeping algorithm with industry-leading holdover performance. It also uses multiple redundancy designs for power supply, clock cards and other components, which greatly improves the safety and reliability of time synchronization, injecting a stable time pulse for the reliable operation of various airport business systems.
In addition, SaiTime has deployed display secondary clocks fully controlled and managed by the clock system on various information displays, flight information boards, passenger waiting areas and other locations inside Qitai Airport, providing accurate and unified time information for flight attendants, airport staff and passengers, and comprehensively ensuring the normal operation of the airport.
