With the continuous development of digitalization, informatization and intelligence across society, industries are increasingly demanding higher time precision. A high-precision clock system has become an indispensable component for the intelligent development of modern enterprises. Recently, Hunan Aerospace Hospital planned to renovate and upgrade its on-campus clock system. Following comprehensive evaluations of multiple suppliers, the hospital finally selected the clock system developed by Zhejiang Saisi.
The primary function of a hospital clock system is to provide accurate and unified time information for medical staff and patients. It also serves as a standard time source for computer systems and other weak-current subsystems, enabling centralized time synchronization across all systems and uniform time standards throughout the hospital network. Precise and consistent time data offers timely and accurate time references for medical staff in patient care and ward rounds. The master-slave clock system features countdown and temperature-humidity display functions, providing precise data support. The NTP time server delivers standardized, unified time information to computer systems on the hospital’s local area network, supplying a reliable time source for digital hospital management and supporting efficient, coordinated hospital operations.
The hospital clock system operates on NTP time synchronization technology. It calibrates the master clock using standard time signals received from GPS and other satellites. The central master clock then distributes unified standard time signals to slave clocks installed throughout the facility, monitoring the operational status of all clocks and controlling their operation. This ensures all slave clocks display consistent standard time, providing uniform time information for medical personnel and patients. For Hunan Aerospace Hospital’s clock system, an NTP server network architecture supporting dual master clocks (primary and backup) is adopted. The redundant master clock configuration guarantees that if the primary master clock malfunctions, network terminal devices automatically detect and switch to the backup master clock’s time signal. The system automatically resumes normal operation once the fault is resolved, ensuring safe and stable performance of the entire time synchronization system.
