Recently, the time servers supplied by Saisi for the terminal buildings of Lijiang Sanyi International Airport have been successfully installed and commissioned. The equipment will ensure unified time calibration for all airport information systems and support the delivery of high-quality time services for passengers within the terminal area.
Constructed in 1992 and officially opened to navigation in 1995, Yunnan Lijiang Sanyi International Airport is a 4D-class civilian international airport with a terminal building area of 38,300 square meters. It ranks as the second-largest air harbor in Yunnan Province and a regional tourism hub airport in the province. Having undergone two expansion and renovation projects, the airport has become a fundamental pillar for Lijiang’s economic and social development. It plays a vital role in enhancing the city’s external image and tourism quality, as well as driving the socioeconomic and cultural development of northwest Yunnan.
Time servers serve as a core component of air transportation infrastructure. Civil aviation airports are generally equipped with dedicated time servers in every terminal building, which deliver unified and accurate time data for passengers, staff and all operational information systems. Clocks in departure lounges and ticket halls provide precise time reference for travelers; those installed in administrative offices and apron areas offer accurate time for on-site staff. Meanwhile, standardized time signals transmitted to various information systems underpin aircraft operation schedules and guarantee the punctual and secure operation of the airport’s communication systems.
Saisi participated in the terminal renovation project of Lijiang Airport for this cooperation. The TS8000, Saisi’s dedicated time server tailored for rail and aviation scenarios, was deployed as the primary master clock to replace outdated legacy equipment, establishing an accurate and unified time benchmark for the entire terminal complex.
The TS8000 high-precision time server features a multi-redundancy design and supports dual-channel input from GPS and Beidou satellite timing sources. Equipped with an exclusive FPGA time-holding algorithm, it delivers industry-leading time retention performance, alongside robust security and superior timing accuracy. Capable of connecting with secondary slave clocks as a primary master clock, it fully meets the time synchronization requirements of airport terminal buildings. Saisi boasts extensive practical experience in the aviation sector, having participated in terminal construction projects of numerous airports including Lhasa Gonggar International Airport, Guizhou Longdongbao International Airport and Gansu Baiyin General Airport.
Moving forward, Saisi will continue to focus on integrated production and research, deepen its expertise in the time and frequency industry, facilitate industrial upgrading, and strive to become a pioneer in the time-frequency technology sector.
