On August 30, 2023, the second-phase project of Microsoft Suzhou was officially completed and delivered. Saisei’s master-slave clock system empowers artificial intelligence innovation and R&D with standard time signals.

To Become Microsoft’s Largest R&D Center in China by Headcount!

Microsoft (Asia) Internet Engineering Institute Suzhou Branch (“Microsoft Suzhou”) was established in Suzhou Industrial Park in 2013, focusing on innovative R&D in Internet engineering and software products.
It is Microsoft’s fourth regional R&D center in mainland China, following Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, and a key pillar of Microsoft’s global product R&D.
Since its launch in 2013, Microsoft Suzhou has deeply integrated into the strategic emerging industries of Suzhou Industrial Park and become a major enabler of local innovation.
Currently, Microsoft has over 2,000 R&D personnel at Suzhou International Science Park, including hundreds of international researchers from more than 10 countries such as the US, UK, and India. It also hosts Microsoft’s latest machine learning project teams. The famous Microsoft AI assistants Cortana and Xiaoice were developed and launched globally from here.
Microsoft Suzhou is Microsoft’s fastest-growing overseas R&D organization.
The delivery and operation of Phase 2 will open more possibilities for its long-term development in Suzhou. The new workspace will support more R&D businesses, richer ecosystem activities, and enhance R&D capabilities. It will also strengthen university-enterprise cooperation and further drive technological innovation and industrial digital transformation in Suzhou Industrial Park.
With its vision to grow to 5,000 employees, Microsoft Suzhou is set to become Microsoft’s largest overseas R&D base.

Saisei Master-Slave Clock System Empowers AI Innovation

For Microsoft Suzhou, Saisei has built a dedicated master-slave clock system: a master clock in the core equipment room and analog slave clocks deployed across floors and functional zones.
From satellite signal reception, processing and distribution of standard time signals, to unified time display, the system fully supports Microsoft Suzhou’s AI innovation and R&D ecosystem.

As a pioneer in clock system solutions for large enterprises and high-tech parks, Saisei has successfully served thousands of clients nationwide, including Microsoft Suzhou.
