Recently, Hangzhou Metro Group Co., Ltd. partnered with Saisi for the Phase I project of Hangzhou Metro Line 6, requesting the company to supply a DCS clock server for the engineering signaling system.
The Hangzhou Metro Line 6 project marks another collaboration between Saisi and Hangzhou Metro Group Co., Ltd., following their previous partnership on Line 5. Saisi's products have achieved significant maturity in rail transit applications, earning widespread client recognition. This achievement also represents a major breakthrough for Saisi's fully proprietary DCS clock server signal system, positioning it at the forefront of urban rail technology innovation.
The Phase I project of Hangzhou Metro Line 6 (including Phase II and the Hangzhou-Fuyang Intercity Railway) spans 26.955 kilometers entirely underground, featuring 19 stations (6 interchange stations), 1 vehicle depot, and 2 main substations. This collaboration covers the supply of systems and equipment including negative parallel transmission systems, business telephone systems, dedicated telephone systems, public address systems, clock systems, communication power systems, centralized alarm systems, passenger information systems, LCD displays, shunting equipment with projectors, recording systems, along with tools, instruments, spare parts, and required accessories/materials, plus integrated communication management services.
The signaling system, a critical component of urban rail transit, functions as a large-scale, complex real-time control system that manages train operations and ensures operational safety. Clock synchronization is primarily achieved through GNSS-based time synchronization within subway stations and through synchronized time configuration for all devices requiring unified time synchronization. This synchronization mechanism plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of urban rail transit systems.
Hangzhou Metro Line 6 utilizes Saisi's proprietary 1588v2 time server, supporting flexible selection among OC/TC/BC modes. Zhejiang Saisi's IEEE1588v2 time synchronization solution effectively overcomes the limitations of traditional GNSS systems. By replacing the costly 1:1 base station-to-GNSS ratio with a 1:N configuration, it reduces GNSS system deployment by 80%, achieving just 20% of the cost of conventional GNSS solutions.
Finally, we aim to provide precise time services for Hangzhou Metro Line 6 through Zhejiang Saisi's IEEE1588 time server, building on our previous contribution to Line 5 and further supporting the efficient and stable operation of Line 6.
