As Saisi's product competitiveness and reputation have grown, it has gradually established a strong brand and customer base within the industry. In particular, in areas of strength, Saisi's timing and frequency products are increasingly exported, serving a growing number of overseas customers. Following last year's long-term strategic partnership with a renowned Japanese operator, Saisi recently established a successful partnership with the Mexico City Metro to modernize the communication system on Line 1 and promote Chinese influence for the Belt and Road Initiative.
Project Overview
The Mexico City Metro is the city's most important public rail transit system. Opened in 1969, Line 1 has 20 stations and carried an average daily passenger volume of 4.51 million in 2018. It is Mexico City's oldest and busiest trunk line.
The comprehensive modernization of trains, control systems, and tracks on Mexico City Metro Line 1 was driven in part by a train collision in 2020. While stopping at Tacubaya subway station, Train 33 was struck head-on by Train 38, resulting in several casualties. It was later speculated that the aging train control system malfunctioned, causing the train to receive erroneous control signals and change its trajectory.
The Mexico Line 1 modernization project is unusually complex and challenging to implement. The unique rubber-tyred trains on Mexico Line 1 differ significantly from domestic subway systems in terms of system architecture and operating mode. The clock system, a crucial component of the subway's communications and signaling systems, is a critical component of the entire project. CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd., the project's general contractor, carefully considered technical, commercial, cost, and timelines when selecting the clock system subcontractor. Saisi, with its extensive rail transit technology, experience, and competitive products and services, emerged as a clear winner among over a dozen competitors in Mexico and China. Saisi clock products will be deployed in the Mexico Line 1 vehicle control center, working in conjunction with the control system to monitor train departure and stop information in real time. This will prevent delays and accidents caused by inconsistent train times, providing a strong safeguard for safe and stable train operation.
The completion of the Mexico City Metro Line 1 project marks a breakthrough for Saisi's overseas performance in its core areas of strength (power and telecommunications, rail transit, and operators).
Saisi's Overseas Business
Saisi its founding, Saisi has consistently prioritized its customers, continuously enhancing its brand's technical capabilities and user experience, providing users with more diversified and integrated support for synchronized scenarios.
