Nanyu Railway
Guangxi's first 350 km/h high-speed railway built by itself
As a benchmark project of the "13th Five-Year Plan for Railway Construction in Guangxi", the Nanyu Railway connects the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone with the southeastern urban agglomeration of Guangxi, and will be extended eastward to Shenzhen in Guangdong in the long term. It is an important part of the Nanshan High-Speed Railway and a crucial channel for connecting with the Belt and Road Initiative, implementing the Western Development Strategy, and promoting rapid regional economic development.
The Nanyu Railway spans three cities—Nanning, Guigang, and Yulin—with a mainline length of 193.31 kilometers. It features six stations: Nanning East, Wuhe (Yuehang Station), Liujing, Hengxian, Xingye South, and Yulin North. The entire route includes 124 bridges and 35 tunnels, traversing karst terrain with a bridge-to-tunnel ratio of 83.98%. Designed for a speed of 350 km/h, this railway sets a record in Guangxi's railway construction history.
The inauguration of this railway line marks Yulin City's official integration into the high-speed rail network, slashing the travel time between Nanning and Yulin from two hours to just 50 minutes. This milestone makes Guangxi the first province in western China to achieve full high-speed rail connectivity across all cities. The project holds profound significance for Guangxi's strategic integration with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the implementation of its "Three Major Positionings" development goals, and the realization of its "Two Key Achievements" objectives.
Saisi high precision timing system
Building a "Smart Time Network" for the Nanyu Railway
As Guangxi's first fully-owned 350 km/h high-speed railway, the Nanyu Railway traverses karst terrain with over 80% of its route consisting of bridges and tunnels. The complex geological conditions and high-speed operation pose dual challenges to time-synchronized products.
In the complex environment of karst topography and dense tunnel clusters, satellite signals are highly susceptible to obstruction, rendering traditional clock systems incapable of providing stable high-precision time synchronization. Furthermore, trains traveling at 350 km/h move nearly 100 meters per second. Any 1-second delay in train dispatching, signaling, or power supply systems could directly disrupt the entire line's operations, jeopardizing train safety.
To meet the stringent time synchronization demands of the Nanyu Railway, the Saisi Time Synchronization System provides nanosecond-level precision (1 billionth of a second) and a timekeeping accuracy exceeding ±0.5μs@1day. This system establishes a comprehensive 'Smart Time Network' across the entire railway, ensuring seamless train operations.
The Saisi Time-Synchronization System deployed on the Nanyu Railway utilizes digital phase-locked loop technology and FPGA-based autonomous timing algorithms, delivering high-precision, reliable time-frequency reference signals for rail transit systems. This clock synchronization solution has passed rigorous certifications including MIIT's three-tier network integration tests, Tyre Laboratory's seismic performance evaluations, and low-pressure environment assessments, demonstrating exceptional environmental adaptability.
As the Nanyu Railway trains speed through the southeastern Guangxi urban cluster at 350 km/h, the Saisi Time Service System quietly safeguards the safe operation of every train...
With the rapid evolution of rail transit towards intelligence and networking, the timing system has evolved from being merely the 'time hub' of rail transit to becoming the 'nerve endings' of the smart transportation network.
This time, Saisi's time synchronization system has successfully enabled the 350 km/h Nanyu High-Speed Railway, injecting nanosecond-level' clock heartbeat' into it, marking another milestone for Saisi in the rail transit field.
As the benchmark clock supplier for over 50% of China's newly built subway communication system projects, Saisi has infused Saisi's "clock heartbeat" into subway networks in more than 20 cities including Beijing, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Ningbo, Zhengzhou, and Guiyang. Moreover, it has established industry benchmarks with multiple pioneering technologies—creating the global commercial rail transit LTE network IEEE1588 clock synchronization benchmark (Wuhan Metro Line 6) and completing China's commercial rail transit PTP time synchronization project (Guiyang Metro Line 1)...
On the global stage, Saisi Clock System has been deeply involved in numerous international rail transit mega-projects. From Mexico's Metro Line 1, one of the world's top ten PPP (Public-Private Partnership) cases, to the first electrified railway in Africa—the Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway, and the benchmark Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway in Southeast Asia, Saisi continues to redefine the precision standards of global smart transportation.
Looking ahead, Saisi will propel the digital transformation of rail transit with its 'clock heartbeat' approach, evolving from device timing to system synergy. It will consistently deliver higher-precision, more stable and reliable products and solutions, empowering the rail transit industry to advance toward higher-dimensional digitalization and intelligence.
