01 Powering the Core: SaisiSLIC Voice Chip

In the post-Moore era, the pace of chip process miniaturization has slowed, making process upgrades alone insufficient to meet users' explosive demand for high-bandwidth, low-latency network experiences. Particularly in all-optical networking scenarios like Fiber To The Room (FTTR), the conflict between high-speed signal transmission and common-mode noise interference has become a critical tool for telecom operators to enhance user experience and capture premium market segments.

According to Omdia's forecast, by 2030, China's FTTR penetration rate will lead the world, reaching over 25%. The huge market demand ensures stable supply chains and the leap in user experience, which has become the key to competition among telecom operators.

Building on this foundation, Saisi has developed its proprietary SLIC voice chip (User Line Interface Circuit). The product not only delivers all SLIC functionalities required for a complete analog telephone interface, but also features an independently designed high-low voltage common-mode control loop to suppress common-mode noise, significantly enhancing signal transmission quality and meeting the demands of today's FTTR market.

02 Strengthening Core Competence: Three Innovations Address Key Pain Points

1. Programmable design with seamless replacement support

The Saisi SLIC voice chip features programmable design, enabling adjustable ringing frequency, amplitude, interval, and waveform shape. It supports diverse applications including wired gateway VOIP, CPE devices, xPON optical network terminals, FTTR (Fiber To The Room), and wireless fixed terminal equipment. Additionally, it provides rapid deployment of telecom-grade FXS solutions for customers.

Furthermore, the hardware Bill of Materials (BOM) of this product series achieves 100% compatibility with international competitors, enabling seamless replacement without board modifications. This significantly reduces hardware iteration costs and development time.

2. Miniaturized and highly integrated, supporting customization to meet personalized needs

The SaisiAXS630 series chips, with a compact size of just 4×6mm, feature highly integrated BORSCHT functionality and support for personalized customization to meet diverse application needs. Through programmable Tone design, they support a wide frequency range of 100Hz-4KHz, enabling versatile single-frequency or dual-frequency Tone sounds to accommodate Tone requirements across various countries and regions. Additionally, they offer a broad ringing frequency range of 10Hz-100Hz, ensuring flexible compatibility with telephone equipment in different countries and regions.

Furthermore, Saisi reduces power consumption by enhancing on-chip integration in chip design, making it an ideal choice for operators and CPE manufacturers to develop next-generation compact, multifunctional, and energy-efficient VOIP gateway designs.

3. High-performance idle transmission, solving the problem of common-mode noise interference

To mitigate common-mode noise on transmission lines, Saisi has developed a proprietary high-low voltage common-mode control loop. This innovation enables signal transmission via differential lines during idle states, granting the chip high-performance idle transmission capabilities. By addressing common-mode noise interference in transmission lines, the solution significantly improves signal quality, providing hardware support for operators to optimize communication performance and enhance user retention.

To address signal distortion during idle operation, the product employs an enhanced Wiener digital filter for significant communication signal optimization. Featuring an integrated DSP engine, monitoring ADC, and test load, it enables self-diagnosis and multilayer testing (MLT), facilitating remote diagnostics. This provides users with rapid and precise fault localization, effectively reducing operational and maintenance costs.
